East Coast Chins: 2nd Try!!!

Question:
Well as you all know last time East Coast Chins was getting organized, POTN collapsed & then Cub had a major health crisis I had to deal with. Since then, what I have is some materials from Debbie for the website, & Kingsboro, Brandy & myself were working on things. Solarsis & CandyCane were going to help us post it on the web & maintain a website & e-mail account.
What I need to know is, who is still interested, what do you want to do, & when should our deadline for the website submissions be?
Apologies to Brandy for losing her contribution when POTN last went down.
I think this is a good idea & can really help the cause of chins in this oft-ignorant* part of the world (*when it comes to chins.....)
Let's do it!!!

Answer:
Yes, let's do it. Still working on my part. If you give me your email address I can get some pictures off to you to see which ones you like.

Answer:
Kingsboro: please pm me so I can put you in my address book. My hotmail account does not accept mail from "unknown" senders. Are you still writing something too?
I am awed & dazzled by this website: www.cachins.org
It's something to aspire to in the long term though. Really, we just need to get off the ground, let people know we are out there, & get our message out there. I forget what our mission statement was (lost it when POTN went down ) but basically it should be something along the lines of: "promoting the long & healthy lives of chinchillas across the Atlantic Provinces".

Answer:
I'll still help with the website. Candice and I had an example up but I don't know if she lost it in the crash. If she did, I still have the sample banners and stuff on my hard drive.
So you liked cachins huh? I had a feeling you would. did it help you at all?

Answer:
It's a wonderful website & I would love to model ourselves on such an excellent example as cachins!! Thanks very much for the link.
I never saw the example unfortunately, but I'm glad you saved it. I am going to ask CandyCane to set up an East Coast Chins mailbox @ POTN again where stuff like this can be posted until we have the website up.
Thanks for your continued involvement Solarsis!!!

Answer:
The mailbox and website are still functional.

Answer:
This is a new club? What's the scoop, can someone update me? :P If you'd like to look at some very exemplary sites, here is a good place to start:
http://www.chincare.com/Health-Lifes...LSTARsites.htm

Answer:
This club is for the Canadian east coast but of course others can look at it too,of course, lol. I love the www.cachin.org site too. Very simple, easy to navigate, and informative. I definitely think we should go that route.
Where's Debbie? Bunnicula? Brandy? What do you guys think.

Answer:
Do you have a logo? May I feature it on my directory? ChinCare ( http://www.chincare.com ) is a directory to all the chinnie resources on the web, and it could help bring people to your club because at present we receive over 10,000 individual hits a month.
There are also Canadian and International resources listed on my site, on the rescue and classifieds and veterinarian pages. You're welcome to post those links (they're just links, we are careful about copyright infringement) on your site because it looks like your club wants to list resources also. Another cool site you should check out, it is, in my opinion, even better than cachins: http://www.chincentral.com/

Answer:
I'm sure you'll be able to feature it once it's done. Right now there is only a sample web site with no info
