Question: everyone is probably going to think that i am a stupid ozzy, but i never knew what chins were. they are quite cute looking little creatures. i take it they are also wild animals over there. would like to hear more about them. Answer: I felt that way befor I met my frist chin. I knew nothing about them. It was at my pet shop I worked at and he was sick with diahrea(sp) I gave it dri tail nursed it to life again ever sence then I wanted to know more about thease cute fuzz butts. Yes they are wild in the Andes mountens. I think (corect me if I am wrong) the only color found in the wild is standerd grey. they come in all sizes from real small to the moster chins that are like over 1000g. My chins are verry adfecant and love to give me kisses and love to sit on my sholder. I wouldn't traid them for the world. Have fun learing about thease wonderful animals Answer: I hadn't heard of them until grade 12, when one of my substitute teachers brought hers in for the day I'm so glad my teacher was sick that day! I hope you take a look at all the threads with pictures so you can become a bit more aquainted with them! I know there are several people on other forums who own chinchillas and live in Australia and New Zealand Answer: My cousin had a chinnie while I was in High School. He was a cuddler and I loved him to death. He would cuddle up in your neck and could stay there for hours. It was sooooooooo cute. Since then, I'd wanted to own my very own little furball. It wasn't until this year that I managed to do that. I now have two baby girls that are spoiled like crazy and loved to no end. Unfortunately for you Marina, I believe Chinchillas are not allowed in Australia. I am not 100% sure, but I remember seeing something about it on another forum. I would definately check into that if you ever want to own one of your own. Answer: There's no such thing as a stupid ozzy I first knew about chinchillas when I was still in Singapore. They were the new fashionable pet that cost $600-$800 for a regular standard grey. I think the price is because of import costs and also because they were a new fad. Singapore also has a hot and humid climate (you're prolly familiar, S'pore and Australia are so close to each other!) and it takes a lot to keep a chinchilla comfortable and not overheat. Then I came to Canada and they are so much cheaper and supplies are so much cheaper for them over here too! So I finally decided to get one, then I had two, but now I don't have any Answer: Sophie, I've never heard that about chinchillas in Australia! I think I may check into that ! (you can never know too much trivia :P ) Answer: Don't ask me how I know that. It's just one of those facts that made it into my head one day and I was saving for a rainy day lol Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
