The cutest little standard grey girl...

Question:
I just had to share for those in Ottawa and thinking about getting a chin with a wonderful attitude - Rincewind and I were at the Super Pet on Merivale yesterday (while looking at birds) and I managed to persuade her to look at chins as well.
Since it was 11am, they were all asleep in a row - wish I had my camera 'cause it was a funny sight. Well, we opened up the cage and I gently woke them up one by one. The standard was the first to wake - and she lay there with eyes half open sniffing my fingers and then tried to groom them. After a bit she woke up and lay there letting me scratch her all over. Was very endearing.
The others woke up for moments and then promptly went back to bed while the standard stretched and came over to the cage entrance for some more attention. She climbed out onto my hands and then happily hung out as she was lavished with more petting. At one point she fell asleep on my hand. As she woke up more and more she became more energetic (naturally) and yet she still would bask in the rubs and scratches. A few times I put her back in the cage but she'd promptly return and jump back onto my hands. Once, I had her back in the cage (Rincewind felt it was time to go, we'd only been there for.. what? twenty minutes doing this?) and she refused to get off of my hand. She clung there and gave me a dirty look.
All this to say - there's a really awesome standard grey female who's probably a couple to a few months old (the people at Pet Smart should know when she was born and the breeder) waiting to be taken home by someone who hopefully knows something about chins.

Answer:
She sounds like a great chin, I hope she goes to a good home!

Answer:
You all are horrible!
I almost got the chin, it was a very close call. In the end, I decided I'd stick to the original plan and wait until a tan was born. If the tan doesn't have the right personality - well then I'll look at other chins. I'm only going to get one, so she has to be the right one.

Answer:
Carrot, I admire your resolve to wait for the perfect chinchilla for you!
Although, sounds like this little girl already has you wrapped around her little fingers
