Question:
My beautiful mixed Kitten Sammy, used to have silky and shiny fur when he was younger, but lately, it hs turned dull. I am thinking amybe the food I am giving him is the cause.
I have been feeding him Felidale and Wellness.
Any ideas?

I dont know anything about those foods. it could be food or it could be if you let him outside.. he might be getting into something. (I dont know if you let them out or not?) I hope you can figure it out.

Do you bathe him? I have noticed a huge difference in my cats' fur since I have started bathing them on a regular basis (allergies flare up if I don't). It also helps to brush them to remove the dead fur (most likely the cause of the dull fur). There are certain supplements that you can give as well, but I will have to look them up when I get home.

I agree with Candice about grooming them...it gets their natural oils flowing and makes the fur shinier and fluffier...
I would also check into a product called - The Missing Link - my friend sprinkles it on her cats & dogs food and it does wonders for their coats.. I've never used the foods that you mentioned but they seem to be a pretty good quality food...

Also, anything with salmon oil in it (like salmon wet food) can really help a cat's coat

It's not the food that's lacking, that's for sure!!!
I would try both grooming & The Missing Link, as have already been mentioned.

you probably could get it from your VET or some pet shops around here are selling it now...maybe a health food store that also sells healthful pet foods...it's a gold colored bag...
