Question:
Sprite has for months been living happily with Whiskers and Togepi. Well I didnt witness any fight but saw some fur in the cage and some small fur missing off of Sprite. Theres no big patch just seems like a couple spots on his fur were chomped off. The other two have no fur missing at all so I dont know if he's doing it himself or if someone got mad at him for something.
Any ideas why this would happen? Ive got him in my temp cage (small cage) and am now looking for another cage as I dont want him beat up on if thats what there doing.
How do you tell if its them fur chewing or if another chin getting mad at them?

Hmm to tell if he is fur chewing I think you will beable to now that he is by him self. That sux you had to seperate him but hey better safe then sorry Hope you figure something out.

yeah I dont think he's fur chewing as this is the first time ive ever seen this on him, and he's been here a while. Im thinking one of the other two boys got mad at him for something. MEN cant take them anywhere lol. I have his small cage right next to the others so they can still see each other just not fight if thats what happened.

I think you'd be able to see a bit of fuzz if it was fur chewing. The fur would definately not be even unless your chinnie is a really good hairdresse lol
Maybe he just dropped a bit of fur because something scared him?

ill try to get a pic of it tomorrow if I can, theres about 3 places where if looking at his back it looks like it was cut but its even so thats got me wondering how it happened. I know no one cut his fur but it looks like someone chopped him in three little places. I dont know what would have scared him as they are in a chin room with just them but anythings possible with these boys lol.

there was one time that Isabella tore Wooki up 3 days in a row.. then I seperated them and a day or so later Isabella had Gypsy... so if one of them is a female maybe she is pregnant and about to have a baby?!?!?! if its fur chewing I dont think you would find the spots of fur around the cage.

All boys here in my crew. It probably was one of them being mean to him, hes always been the reserved one when it comes to the boys but deffintly the little trouble maker when it comes to me lol.
I didnt know if with fur chewing you saw fur or not so thought id ask, seems like it was probably one of the boys being mean to him.

well Mimi is a fur chewer and I dont see any fur around her cage any more than I would the others from shedding.. she has spots that are almost like a burr hair cut. its on her hip area.. and she also chews her tail.. if its on his back its most likely the others being mean to him then.

The three spots are on his back so I guess its the other boys (to bad you cant ground them lol). Im going to get another cage for him and then see about maybe introducing one of the other boys to him or leave him just him (depending on how he does) and have him next to the other boys but in a seperate cage.
