Am I the only one?

Question:
I was looking through old posts about who feeds what kind of pellets...and I swear, I'm the only one who feeds Kline. I am considering a switch...and Mazuri and Oxbow sound great, I just wonder how easy it is to get them here. I'd love some feedback about the Kline diet-that was what the breeder had them on, and I never thought to change it

Answer:
kline is another excellent diet Carla. I think it's just not as available to everyone. I know it's very hard to get kline diet in Canada and I've heard of people having trouble ordering a constant supply. This might be the main reason why there aren't more people here who use it.

Answer:
Ah yes, the 'what-is-best-pellet-for-your-chinchilla' question.
Carla, I once fed my chins the Kline diet and decided to change to APD because it is free of preservatives and has a lot of added benefits. I am also impressed with Dr. Throckmorton (the doctor who developed the diet) and his expertise in small animal nutrition. The Kline diet has been around a very long time which says something about how good it is. I personally think it is too expensive. Some people noticed their chin mums didn't produce enough milk when they were on the diet but I don't know if there was an exact correlation between the diet and mums not producing enough milk.

Answer:
I'm a retard...but what's APD?
I looked up the price of 50lb. feed and shipping from Oxbow, and it's $54.90. That's about 6$ cheaper than Kline. I'm just wondering if I can get a high quality diet for alot less. I'm not trying to be cheap, I'll go without food before I feed Kaytee (that's the truth).

I buy the gourmet pellets

Answer:
The Alffie kind?

Answer:
I'm kind of slow with this also, I'm going to start measuring pellets too I don't know why I haven't been doing that, it seems like a great way to keep food from wasting

Answer:
Carla, I do the same thing. I know how much each of my pairs eat and I measure accordingly. I think it is a waste to fill the bowls to the max and throw it out the next day.

Answer:
That's so smart. I read your post from a while back, and I'm going to start that tonight
