I read recently that an average kit will gain 5 to 10 grams a week for the first few weeks. Since I have only had one litter, I don't have much experience with this, but to me that number seems quite low. Our kits were born at 46 and 47 grams. After one week they were up to about 68 and today (not even two weeks old) they are above 90 grams. What are your experiences?

Sounds like they are growing good. I don't have my weight charts on this computer but I know that Zoya easily grew 2-3 grams per day.

I think it depends on the parents, kits, and genetics. I've had monsters and runts, growing all at different rates, having as much as a 160gr difference in weights at weaning time. I think your weight gains are fine.

All of the kits I have had, have gained about 3 grams a day. I agree too and think the kits you have are gaining a nice amount of weight.
