Question:
How did you get Cinnamon and Cracker back together? Just wondering because Im in the same situation. Any suggestions?

Courtney, yup - I finally got them back together. Here's what usually happens :
a) Cracker gets nasty a week or so before she delivers, so I separate them.
b) Cinnamon gets terribly lonely until he gets used to living "bachelor style".
c) I wean the kits and put them in a different room.
d) After about a week, I let Cinnamon & Cracker play together in the bathroom. If this doesn't go well, I leave it alone for another few days.
e) Then, I put Cracker in a carrier and leave her in the hallway while Cinnamon runs around in the same area. They can touch each other through the bars in the carrier.
f) They switch places.
g) I let them out together. Both times, it has worked quite well. Then I try them out together in a new, freshly cleaned cage. I had no problems 2 weeks ago when it all came together.

Wow Thanks a lot Lisa. Im trying to reintroduce Chilly and Silly and Chilly's babies OR Silly and Candy and her baby but I have just been working with the mom's. I think Silly and his babies would get along because they are doing good when I introduce them but Chilly and Candy have become nut balls. So Im just woking with the mom's now and Silly. It scares me when they chase each other so when that happens I break it up. I've just been taking baby steps. So Im defenitly going to try what you did. I don't want to rush it.

It went a tiny bit better yesterday. I had some oats in my hand and they both put there noses down to eat them and they sniffed each other a bit. Then Chilly went after him. But Silly is swishing his tail and making that cooing noise and before he was too scared. So it's going to take a while and I MIGHT try the tight quarters today but Im so nervous to do that.

Thanks! The vanilla trick didn't work. So Im going to do what Lisa did to get her chins back together since Trouble can be weigned soon.
