Question:
On july 31st, Calpurnia had four kits. I've been supplementing and rotating for a few days now, but got a chance to have fun with the camera today. There are three boys and one girl. Their names are Atticus (the biggest and darkest one), Felix Jr. (also dark), Jem (second biggest), and Scout (the little girl).

Their birth weights were 40, 42, 42, and 46 grams. Pretty good for quads, but they gave me a scare on their second day. Scout and Atticus both lost four grams each in about 12 hours. Scout got down to 34 grams. I've been hand-feeding them every two hours in addition to mom milk and they're all doing great now.
They are all standards.
Atticus and Felix Jr. look like hetero ebonies, but both parents are standards....the dad is a pure standard if the info I got on his grandparents is correct. I don't know much about the mom's history, except that she was originally from Curtis Critters in Idaho and that I bought her in December as a non/slow breeder. This is the second litter she's had at my house. She was a couple days preg when I brought her home then was bredback because I didn't know she was preg with the last kit (only had one) until I saw him in the cage a few hours after he was born.
Mom will get at least a three month break after this...maybe even retire though I haven't decided quite yet.

Mom weighed close to 800 grams a week before she delivered. She was so huge after that that I was afraid to take her out and weigh her. I'm not sure how much she weighs when she's not preg because she has benn preg the whole time she's been here.....I'm guessing about 600-650.
