I'm a little worried...
Question: Tinsel has been acting weird since last night. She's been very anti social (ie running away when we come near the cage) and I find she's been sleeping more. She ran away from her medication twice yesterday (she usually can't get enough of it) and it took everything for her to come see me for her meds this morning. After her meds this morning , she even refused a raisin (This is what worries me the most actually) And when Tim walked out of the bedroom she didn't even bother running up to investigate. I saw her eating hay and pellets last night so I don't think she's lost her appetite or anything. I checked her this morning and her eyes/teeth looked fine, her poos weren't soft and she looked pretty normal. Am I being a worry wart or should I be worrying more than I already am about this? Answer: Sophie, I would be worried too even though I don't think it is anything serious. Tweety does this sometimes. A few days ago, she was acting very strange. She was on the top floor of her cage and when I went to open the door, she ran away from me and as soon as I closed it, she came back to the spot she was sitting in. Then, I gave her a fresh bowl of food which she usually devours on the spot but she didn't want to come down to the first floor to eat. Something freaked her out but I don't know what it was. Later in the day, she was fine. Answer: maybe chinnies have bad days just liek us sometimes,,, I am sure and Hope everything is alright Sophie Answer: I agree with Brandy, maybe she's just having a bad chinnie day? Keep us updated! Answer: Sophie, I would be worried too with all of Tinsel's medical problems Keep an eye on her and just do what you've been doing!! Keep us posted. Answer: Well. She spent most of the day sleeping as usual and came out to see me for about 2 minutes when I got home. The girls are getting company soon as one of the girls from the pharmacy wanted to come see my chins and I invited her over (I think I talk about my babies a bit too much ). I'll see if TInsel comes out to see what's going on when the girl gets here. Tim says she took a raisin form him a bit later in the day so maybe it really just is having a bad day. I'm just hoping and praying this is not a prelude to a big seizure. She's been doing so well lately!!! Answer: (I think I talk about my babies a bit too much ). lol... nahhhh you can never talk about them tooooo much!!! I hope that she is fine. let us know the new news Answer: Sophie...how's Tinsel feeling? I was thinking about her for the last 2 days but I couldn't turn on my computer to see... Answer: she seems to be fine. I think she's simply been giving me the cold shoulder for leaving on a trip without her. She's slowly coming around though. She's "letting me" give her medication and takes treats (I knew she wcouldnt resist for long) and she's perfectly fine when Tim's around. that's why I'm thinking she's being a big sooky baby Answer: Sophie, I am glad to hear Tinsel is coming around.
