Question:
I went to the Ryersons tonight to stock up on supplies, I got pellets, hay cubes, supliment, dust, bedding, and glass water bottles.
Then of course was time to DROOL over all there chinnies. Jan is such a great lady everytime I come, I have to bring my kids and she ALWAYS takes time out to show the girls new babies and let them pet them and see all the girls (all be it much more trips to ryersons and seeing male chins/female chins and babies is going to result in a talk a little before MOM's ready lol)
I saw the most gorgouse Violets, Tans, Beigs, Standards, a DROP DEAD GOROGOUSE Homo Ebony id have snuck her out if I could HAHAHA and she came right up to the front of her run and looked me dead in the eyes I MELTED, ah if only I had 400 dollars lol. And the Black Velvets SO SO gorugouse, amazing Mosiacs, and a HUGE beige boy that was just about 4 weeks old and was ALL READY a big boy. I love getting to visit all the chins but man do I wish I was rich id have walked out with 4 more chinnies tonight lol. BUT knowing I cant afford them and dont have the space of course I didnt but its so nice to get to go and drool over all there gorgouse chins.

Christy I would love to have a place close by like that that I could go to and drool over them all.. hehe. but the only thing is I would probably come home and try to scrape together every penny I had to get just one more.. hehe. maybe its a good thing that place isnt close to me.

oh trust me if Jason and I didnt have a mortgage to pay (that one was almost the price of one month of my mortgage lol) she'd have came RIGHT HOME with me , i swear she looked like a dark chocolate bar was so so amazing , and those black velvets OHY I wanted to sneak a couple of those home in my pockets lol.
Were actually a little over an hour away but its worth the drive for supplies at such a great cost and to drool over all the chins

i went to petcetera today and wish i hadn't.......3 boy chinnies in a small aquarium tank with warm lights over head and no sand no sleep house and crappy food...............my son was very angry and i told him that if we bought them then they would just refill the cages.i amnever going there again as it only breaks my heart..........

Heidi the petcetera here in Kamloops has the same thing. Doesn't it just make you sick? the first time they got them in, I also got a glimpse of their shipping container and was sooo raging mad. They had shipped the two terrified little girls in rubbermaid meat storage containers. The container had a cut out top with mesh and the poor things couldnt even sit up straight in there. They had one still in there because "she wasn't feeling well" so they thought it best to keep her seperate in that tight container. I told the guy I wouldn't feel well either if I was running out of space and oxygen! I was soooo upset I actually wrote the company president a letter. I never got a reply.

Keep trying Sophie. Call and talk to the manager do what you can. These bad pet stores need to be stopped. If ya like send me the address I will write him. Then I can get some others to as well. People I tell ya. If I ever saw that I would report them to the human society. I just get so mad when I see that with any animal. Sory I had to vent.
