My Chin Kids
Question: I thought i'd share some pictures of the chin-kids with everyone. You may have seen these before, as I believe they were all taken in May or June, I'll post updated pictures soon though..I have updated pictures of Moose and Mackenzie, taken a few weeks ago- so I'll attach them instead of the older pictures . First, I'll start with Moose-Boy. He's a Tan male, and is a "grump" . He can be very sweet when he wants to, but if he doesn't want to be distrubed, he'll bark-bark-bark. He is LAZY and Sleeps in his house constantly. Actually, my plumber was over installing new heating systems, and was working in the chinroom. All the chins were out looking at him, but Moose. He had asked over and over "Is that beige chinchilla stuffed? It doesn't move. The other ones are all out looking at me plastered to the side of the cage, but he's just sitting there..not moving...not blinking.." My mom j ust looked at him and said "Thats Moose. All he does is stay in his house, unless there is a treat, or if he is in a loving mood". The Next chinchilla(the ebony) is his Cagemate, and Mate, Mackenzie. She's a Dark Hetero Ebony. She's also a bit grumpy, and barks at me all the time- they are perfect for each other. Though, if you give her chin/cheek scratches, she's your best friend. I found that out after suffering through trying to get her out of the cage- Got nipped, barked at, and she freaked out. Finally started just rubbing her chin, and after I did that- she was out of her cage, in my hands looking at me like "Hey you, you better keep that up!". The Last picture, with both chins together is Moose and Mackenzie. I believe this was taken the day they were put together. Moose and Mackenzie loved each other, since Mackenzie was moved into the chin room...Moose hated other chins- males, females, you name it. But she touched his heart- He'd lay as close to her cage as possible, plastered to the side of his cage- OUTSIE of his house. When he got out of his cage, I foudn him laying with his tiny feet up on the bars of her cage, curled up. It was too cute- I knew they were meant to be together, as they did whatever they could to be close to each other, hehe. Answer: Quite the chubby (not to mention beautiful) couple! Answer: Naomi and Espresso are my next pair. Naomi is a Light White Ebony, and Espresso is a very dark ebony, who really is in person shiny black. Both are sweeties. I think Naomi may be pregnant, and if she is she'd be due around the 14th of Nov. I saw a mating, and she gained about 20 grams in a week, but lost 5 of those grams..and has stayed at a steady weigh. Unfortantly, I don't have any pictures of Naomi that actually get her true coloring and/shape. They make her look "off colored" and "bad" , but in person she is such a pretty girl! You can see her fairly well in the picture ---The "black thing" is Espresso hiding behind her. This was when they were being introduced, in one of my spare cages . This is one of my more decent pictures of Espresso, but it's hard to get good pictures of him. Answer: Next, is my Pair of Boys. Jasper, and Mocha. Jasper is a Standard Boy, and my first chinnie- and Mocha is a TOV Tan male. Jasper has quite the attitude- he has the whole "My way, or no ones way" attitude going on....If he doesn't get his way- you have a handfull of a chinnie on your hands! Mocha though, is a total sweetie- but a bit shy. Answer: And Lastly, Danica. Danica is my standard Female, who is currently alone. If Naomi and Espresso -or Moose and Mackenzie end up having a female baby, she'll be paired with her. Danica is such a pretty girl- with the brightest, whitest tummy..unfortnatly, she's very pretty- but cannot be bred(IMO) she tops off at 500grams on her good days. She's really all fur. Answer: Megan, I haven't seen pictures of your chins in a long time. I am impressed with Naomi and Espresso! I didn't realize Danica was so small but she is a purty girl for sure. Looks like you are working on getting high quality chins in your herd which is always a good thing. Answer: Denise, I am trying to get some better quality chins...I honestly want to get a High quality,Standard and a High quality Black...Will cost a pretty penny, but oh so worth it . Answer: Wait Megan, are saying its going to take me EVEN LONGER..to catch up to ya..LOL! Answer: Hehe, Could be...Beings i'mk eeping a baby from Naomi's litter, bringing me up to 8..and if I get a standard/black pair..that can take me up to 10 :-P . Still not sure if i'll be able to get another pair- mom is "thinking" about it. Answer: wow you sure have beautiful chins Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
