Came home with another, yes, another chinchilla today. I decided I wanted a higher quality black velvet to breed in the future.. so now I have one half of my pair(just need my high quality standard girl, hehe). This guy seems like a total DOLL! He had NO problems with me bringing him out to weigh him, and snap a few pictures.....he comes in at 679 grams, and was born on 11/19/02....so he's almost a year.
Still doesn't have a name, but mom Suggested Zeus and Apollo...

Marla, I didn't REALLY need a female...I have no one here at all to pair him with(Danica is TINY), so it really didn't matter what sex I got...My mom and I came to the conclusion that i'll be keeping one kit from my first litter born..if it's female, it will go with Danica, Male, more than likely i'll see if I can introduce him to Jasper and Mocha... if not, there is always this guy to introduce a male to....But my mom and I are thinking, maybe in the spring of next year, or when I gather some more money- we can get a nice mate for him(standard, hopefully).
