Welcome to www.tendlife.com !!!

I am not looking forward to this..

Question:
In about 2 and 1/2 more weeks, Shadow will be out of quarantine and will be moved into the chinnie room. This means he will be occupying the second floor of Delilah and Noel's cage, which means that the girls will no longer have access to the second floor. This means they will NOT be happy. They are so used to going on the second floor and Delilah will not know what to do with herself. I have no other choice but to move Shadow on the second floor because there is nowhere else for him to go. I am also ordering two custom made trays to put on the second floor of the cage. This way when Shadow urinates it will not run down to the first floor with the chance of soiling the girls.
I know it seems silly to stress out about such things but I can't help it.

Answer:
Denise,
I stress over things like that too, atleast I know I'm not the only one who worries about her "babies". I'm sure Delilah and Noel will adjust to it fine and hopefully by the time Shadow is out of quarentine, the trays will have arrived!

Answer:
Denise, Where are you getting your pans from?? We have been thinking building some cages but haven't been able to figure out where to get pans from...we're also thinking of doing the same (Seperating the top and bottom half) of the Cage that Bonnie and Shadow are in when it gets closer to the kits arrival...

Answer:
McCallie, I am getting my trays from DaMars. Here is the link: www.damars.com I highly recommend them!

Answer:
Oh I love you Denise!!! lol...thank you so much!!

Answer:
I know what you mean Denise... I'm going through the same feeling. My plan was to put Manuel on the top half of Pablo's cage. (He spends most of his time on the lower half)... but everytime I see Pablo jumping around from the very top to the bottom and back again... I feel bad about taking that away from him.

Answer:
McCallie, you are quite welcome! I can not say enough good things about DaMars. Their cages are just incredible and their prices are so reasonable.
Su, it would be a dream come true for Baxter, Griffin, and Shadow to all become cagemates but that is only a dream.... The girls don't always spend their time on the second floor but they like knowing it is available to them. That is one bad thing about having a big cage. They get so used to the space, that anything less is a travesty for them.

Answer:
That's so true! I really don't want to keep Manuel's cage in the livingroom... I have too many cages already. (6 right now) I hardly have room for furniture... when I got the large cage for Pablo I had to give my big, comfy TV watching chair to my friend cause I didn't have enough room...

Answer:
Su, technically I could keep Shadow in our dining room but I prefer to keep the chins in one room. I also don't like the way it looks. The girls will have to cope somehow.

Answer:
Denise, I had to do the same thing with Silly. I had to make a half cage. Silly was very confused at first but in about 2 weeks they forget about having all that space. I felt SOOOO guilty but it worked out fine and Im sure your chins will be fine. I know how guilty you feel but it will work out okay. I just gave Silly extra play times, like twice a day and he felt special.
