Dust baths...how often?
Question: How often do you all let your chins bathe? I let mine bathe every other day...about 3 times a week. I live in a really dry climate and I don't want them to get dry skin. Answer: I usually give mine a bath once a week. The dust really irrirates me and I end up itching like crazy. The air purifier I have in the room helps a lot too. Answer: My kids get a bath every other or every third day, depending on how they look. Answer: I try to give mine a bath 2 or 3 times a week. Kamloops is a really dry place so any more would not be good for the chinies imo Answer: Usually every 3 or 4 days... less often with Pablo because he's prone to eye infections and I think the dust is iriitating to his eyes. Answer: In the winter it is quite humid here in the Vancouver area, so then our chinchillas get a dust bath every day. It has been unusually dry here though, so over the summer and thus far this fall, it has been every other day. Answer: I give mine a bath daily. They love it so much and they look so much better bathed. Sometimes I skip a Sunday, but not too often. Answer: Do you ever wonder what they are thinking while they roll in the dust? I'm not sure what word would convey the bliss they seem to be feeling... Answer: i give them a bath according tohow they look...............usually about once every 3 days..............linus gets one more often as she is nuts about them..... Answer: When it is summer and spring, I usually let them bathe every other day, usually towards the middle of fall and into winter they get baths twice a week or sometimes even three depending on the weather.
