I noticed a little bit of discharge on Peeps privates. She might be in heat and I have noticed it on my other girls when they were in heat but the were with males and mated. It's just a little bit and she is tugging there. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Thank you so much. I was so worried about her. I read that it is usually clear but her's is like a milky colour but with my other girls it was like that too. She's acting normal, eating, drinking but VERY moody. As far as I know this is her first heat. I just love her so much and worry too much about her.
I know when my others went into heat they were very messy but that's normal when they mate but Im not sure if it's normal when they are alone.

Oh dogs are very icky when they go into heat. My puppies are spayed. That would be funny if they sold chinnie pads, LOL. "Mini Chinnie Pads." hehe

If it's a clear milky color, it is probably normal but anything besides that could signify a vaginal infection. Just keep an eye on it. If it is irritating or she starts to show other symptoms such as listlessness or loss of appetite, get a vet to check her for infection.

Okay thanks! I will give her a couple days and if it's not cleared up by then or she acts sick I'll take her in. Even if she is normal but it's still there I'll take her in.

Well it's totally cleared up. It was pretty much cleared up last night and totally cleared up last this morning so it must have been her first heat.
There was no smaell at all to it. It was more of a fluid then a substance. Just a little wet and a clear milky colour. See I panic when it comes to my babies. Im an overprotective mom.
