I just can't believe this. Every morning and night we have to but cream on Peeps belly. Well my mom came down to just talk to Peeps and she threw a hissey fit. It was more then mad, it's like she was possessed biting through the bars to attack my mom. She even tried to spray my mom. My mom felt so horrible it looked like she was going to cry. She is very close to Peeps since she did the 10pm feedings. I think Peeps hates the meds on her tummy so much she doesn't even want my mom to go near the cage. It was horrible. I gave my mom some treats to give Peeps and she took them but after she was done she got nutty again. She flipped through her cage chucking and just like she was crazed. She even bit my mom. The strange thing is I hold her while my mom put's the meds on and she's not mad at me.
She is beyond mad! Peeps is usually so gentle and loves everyone. She must be pretty stressed out and she has been through a lot. So my mom is going to come down durring play time to try to make up with Peeps.

Yes, Peeps has been through a very rough time. Im sure there is a lot of horomone changes with her spay plus she really hates the meds on her tummy. Im sure she will forgive my mom. I just wish I could tell Peeps all of this is for her own good. Once we have play time Im sure Peeps won't be as nutty. My poor baby sure has been through a really tough time. Im sure bribing her with treats will help.
One we can stop the meds I think she will forget and be a ton less stressed out.

Well my mom came down for play time last night and Peeps forgave her and wasn't mad at all. She was even doing a bunch of happy hops. This morning when we put the cream on I told my mom to hold her after and give her a treat. Peeps was very happy and didn't get mad and even gave my mom a chinnie kiss. So Im sure it will all work out. What was amazing though is how smart Peeps was when she new it was my mom putting the meds on. It even shocked me that she actually new the difference between my mom and me. I guess chinnies know what people look like. That's pretty smart.

I know that when we have company over Livvie runs to hide (shes usually the one that gets petted.. hehe) she can tell when we do have company cause there are different voices in the house.. and not the ones she associates with treats.. and she knows which voices are coming that will let her out of her cage and which ones will just talk to her and which ones will actually give her a treat.. hehe
