Dry Feet?
Question: I got a look at the bottom of Buddy's feet this morning, and they looked liked they were kind of dry. Maybe that's how they always look, but they had little white spots on them that looked like dry skin. Is that normal? I've never seen him scratching them or anything, so I doubt that he's concerned...here's a pic of his feet as I saw them. You can kind of see what I'm talking about on the back of the foot that is on bottom. Answer: It looks a bit dry but not inflamed or infected. Just keep an eye on it. Could he be reacting to the phenols in the shavings?? Answer: Oh, I just melt everytime I see chinnie feet. They are so precious! Jade uses natural aloe vera to moisturize her chinnie's dry feet. You may want to put some on his feet just in case. Answer: Originally Posted by Denise Jade uses natural aloe vera to moisturize her chinnie's dry feet. In truth, they fight me tooth and nail when I do it, but are much happier afterwards. Answer: all i'd have to do to get it on pocky's feet is smear it around his food dish. His head is slammed into it 24/7 anyways like he's never seen food before! I need to get some aloe for his feetsies though too, they aren't as dry as buddy's up there, but they're definitely dry! I'm still trying to get used to little pink feets, because Pocky's are black, and i'm only used to seeing his :P Answer: I use aloe vera also on chinnie feet, usually right after a dusting attack! LOL Kir is in the dust bath right now and doesn't want to come out! LOL Maybe it's because I just got some Blue Cloud and he likes that better than the Kaytee I used to get! Answer: Would it be akay if he was to lick the aloe vera? Would too many dust baths make his feet dry? Answer: That's why I use the aloe - it's all natural and safe if they lick it off. Frequent dust baths can cause dry feet and dry skin. I try to do dust baths more frequently in the humid summer, less in the dry winter. I put aloe on feet about once per week. (Got sprayed today trying to get Audi out to do so too! ) Answer: I don't know how I will ever get aloe on Buddy's feet because he won't let me hold him. I think I will cut down on the frequently of his baths (he is currently getting one everyday or everyother day) and maybe try to sneak on some aloe somehow... Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
