this is weird
Question: okay we took Kaymen to the vet yesterday to get her fixed, but the vet said she suspects she is pregnant again,,,,BUT I dont remember Kaymen going into heat,,,so is it possible for her to go into heat without actually meowing and going crazy like she did the forst time another thing, Kaymen recently has been fighting alot,,,BUT not with the actual cat,,,she fights them through the windows,,,last night I had to move or she would have torn me apart,,,, she sits up in the window sill and the other cat will come over well then the 2 of them start ramming the glass, howling, scratching and going crazy trying to get at each other, its getting ridiculous,,,,she does it atleast 5 times a day and last night she started in the middle of the night and Craig had to lock her in the bathroom so we could get some sleep.... so is any of this normal???? Answer: It is possible that she went into heat without you noticing...but the chances are slim, especially if you had a male cat around at the time. Usually you can tell by the male cat more than the female. Why does he think she's pregnant? About the fighting, that is sort of normal. It is normal for her to want to protect her territory. I would suggest keeping the blinds closed so she can't see the other cats. Getting that worked up cannot be good for her, especially if she's prego. Answer: thanks Candice,,,,the vet said her belly is bulged and lumpy(altho i dont see it) I know shes heavier but thats it, so she told me she could still fix her(kill the kittens)or wait it out and I decided to wait it out, she needs her needles in 2 mths time so I will get her needles then get her fixed,,,I would feel horrible if she was pregnant and the kittens were killed but the thing is Kaymen seems to gain weight and lose it just as fast, so if she loses this weight within the next few days I am taking her back in I dont think Kaymen could go into heat without me noticing,,,,the firsttime she went into heat she was crazy, meowing, howling going all crazy on the floor,,,,,and I havent seen any of that behavior,,,,Kaymen doesnt even ever meow,,so I think I would notice Answer: Could it be a false pregnancy? Answer: Sounds like she is hormonal. Did you witness the mating Brandy? Does she come in contact with male cats? Answer: I would get an X-ray done to see if any kittens are forming. If not, I would get her fixed. She seems to be anxious to get outside and could escape. Personally, I wouldn't want to risk another pregnancy. Answer: shes alwasy flucuated her weight ever since we got her nope never witnessed no mating,,,,,,I am assuming she comes in contacts with males, she does go outside,,she goes out in the morning when we first get up, then she comes back in at lunch, goes out aftre supper comes in at bedtime for the night Answer: Okay, I'm confused. If you wanted to get her fixed, why did you let her outside when she could get pregnant? If she has been going out that much, I would also suspect that she is prego. Answer: becuase she wont stay in the house, if we keep her in, she gets very upset and wont come anywhere near it, she starts pooping being the TV stand and in the bathtub ,,,,thats why we let her out we wanted to get her fixed a while back but the vet was to busy she went on holidsays and was super backed up then she went back on holidays Answer: Brandy, I don't want you to think I am coming down on you but the likelyhood of her getting pregnant before she can get fixed is great because she is always outside. I agree with Candice and think you should get X-rays done and if she isn't pregnant, keep her in the house and get her fixed ASAP. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
