Near disaster :(

Question:
Oh my goodness, good thing I was home tonight and able to intervene
Chester (the little bugger) figured out how to squeeze himself between the cage divider and the bars to enter Cinnamon & Cracker's "apartment". I heard a ruckus in the chin room so I went in and saw quite the fight. Surprisingly, Cinnamon was staying out of the whole thing.
Nobody got hurt, although Chester has a few bald spots and was quite traumatized. Poor thing, it's not the first time he's been beaten up by a girl He let me cuddle him for a few minutes (which really told me that he was feeling scared!!) and then he escaped into the living room. He retreated under the couch, where I'll let him stay for a while.
Poor little guy

Answer:
Lisa, it is a good thing you were home! I am sure you don't even want to think about what could have happened if you weren't. Poor Chester. I am sure after the initial shock wears off, he will be just fine. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries. How do you have the cage divided? Is it like mine where you have one floor blocked off?

Answer:
Chester already seems recovered It gave me a good kick in the butt to clean the cages and do a bit of rearranging.
I have a floor between the top & bottom portions of the cage. Unfortunately, this floor happens to be heavier than the previous one I had installed, so it bows the sides of the cage a bit. I've never really noticed a huge gap, but I"m going to have to figure something out, I think

Answer:
It sounds like how I have my large cage separated. Can you take a picture so I can see what it looks like. Sorry, I am a visual person.

Answer:
Sure, Denise, no problem. It's divided exactly the way the cage in the 4th picture of this thread except that the sides of the divider are twice as high. I hope that helps... my parents are using their digital camera again so I can't take any pictures right now

Answer:

Lisa you poor thing! You must have had a heart attack! I'm glad Chester is OK though. Leave it up to him to find the "flaws" in his new apartment
I think he'll need a bit of SOphie manhandling tomorrow to cheer him up

Answer:
What a clown! I don't know if you remember or not but he escaped on me when I was chin-sitting for Jen. There was about a 1.5" hole where a feeder could be attached to the cage and he got through it. I am so glad that I had them in the chin room (I moved the boys out) otherwise it could have gotten ugly with the cats and all. I'm glad everyone's okay.

Answer:
His name should be Houdini

Answer:
Yeah, and then I caught him trying to slip out at another spot! He just wanted to be with his woman I guess.
