Dust and Sand
Question: so here's the story, i needed some dust bath stuff before my order from chinworld came in and i got the dust sand. now my order is in and i dont need it, yet i hate to waste it. do you think it would be fine to combine the sand with the dust. i have 4 packets of sand and 6 pounds of dust...... Answer: You know, i have a similar issue at the moment, and I wasn't sure what to do either. I have two brand new cans of dust that are too drying for my chins, and i'm about to order some high quality stuff. I don't want to be wasteful, but what am i supposed to do with this other stuff? How much of the sand do you have? I don't think mixing is a good idea, but i'm also not experienced in that. Answer: Just use it up or save it for a time when you're running out of dust I don't know about combining them though Answer: therainbowduckie, I saved my sand packets and I used them when I ran out of dust and didn't have a chance to pick some up. pandaxian, maybe you could donate the other stuff to the SPCA or some other humane society. Answer: Mixing the two won't cause any problems. Answer: the candy cane hath spoken! now we know! Bunn, I was considering that, but i'm not even sure the human society here handles the chins they get. I'm really going to have to ask. I might have to keep a jar on hand like suggested! Answer: the candy cane hath spoken! now we know yay! but i might save it for a rainy day or when im out.... Answer: I would probably save it for a rainy day too...the dust will work a lot better than the sand. Answer: that winky face has a unibrow Answer: Pandaxian... I'm sure the Toronto Humane Society would appreciate the dust donation. I'm not sure if they adopt out chinchillas there.. but if not, they would at least get them every now & then and maybe send them to a Chinchilla Rescue Group... but while in the shelter they would need it... they could also use the dust for the Degus.
