Contacting Breeders

Question:
Hi Everyone
I'm a newbie, and I noticed as I was browsing around, that people have tried to contact breeders but didn't get a reply. May I suggest you put the word Chinchilla in the subject line because there is soo much junk mail coming in, its hard to know what is real anymore. As a breeder myself, I know that if I see something unfamiliar I automatically think its junk and will delete it without opening it. However, if I see Chinchillas in the heading then I open it. This may have happened to other breeders and why there are no replies.
Its just a suggestion to everyone.
Happy Holidays to everyone.

Answer:
Thanks Marylouise...I have seen several breeders request that "Chinchilla" be put in the subject line. I also get a lot of junk mail so I am sure that I have accidently deleted legitimate ones.

Answer:
I have a spam blocker and so alot gets directed into my junk folder. As a breeder myself I normally reply to every email I get. I get alot so sometimes I can't answer all in one day. But there are some I won't reply to if I don't get a good feeling. Once in a while I'll get an email asking for cheap chinchillas or someone who spells in slang. I just don't have the tolerance for it. But the rest I will reply to.

Answer:
I think this is great advice. I'm not a breeder but there have been times when my spam blocker catches legitimate emails or I just scan thru subject lines and delete those that look like spam.
