Pine pellets?

Question:
Does anyone use pine pellets for their chins' bedding? I have been using them in the cats litterboxes and other than the fact that they make it difficult to scoop (they get caught in the scooper), they work quite well. I am thinking of trying them for the chins' litterboxes and possible as their bedding.

Answer:
I was using those in our cat's litter box too Candice and they did work well.
However, I decided against using them in the chin cages. I thought the chins might try and eat them and since they swell when they come in contact with moisture, this could be very dangerous.

Answer:
Is that the only concern that you have? I was using Cell-Sorb for awhile and they didn't want to chew on that...so they will probably leave it alone.

Answer:
Candice, I used pine pellets for a period of time and it worked quite well. I have never had a problem with any of my chins ingesting bedding and getting sick from it.

Answer:
I have used Yesterday's News pellets in my chins Litterbox and never had a problem with them ingesting it. I've used the pine ones at work for rabbit litterboxes and no problem with them either. Should be fine..

Answer:
Cool. Maybe I will do a test run in the boys' litterbox next week.
