Question:
do most chins sit on your shoulders? i would love it if my chins does. i know that it depends on their personality though. the guy im gettin is supposted to be friscky. i assume wanting to be held is out of the question lol. i hope he will sit on my shoulder some though.

Emily,,,,,it really does all depend on the chinchilla,,,,but usually and most chinchillas dont like to sit still for very long.....both of mine will siton my shoulder but only for a quick visit then they are off again and the only time they will is when i sit on the bathroom floor with them
I am not sure if you will ever be able to train him to stay there for any length of time but its hard to say

Each chin is different, maybe once your chin feels more comfortable he will hop up onto your shoulder for a sit

Emy, a few of my chins will jump on my shoulder although I wish they wouldn't because I fear for them jumping off my shoulder unexpectingly. Most of my chins will jump into my hand which I prefer because at least I know they are secure.
