Cat shot New Year's Eve

Question:
My grandma's one-eyed cat, Corky, was shot in the leg on New Year's Eve. Probably some drunk #$@* thought it would be funny. Corky came home with his leg all torn up and bleeding. My grandma took him to the vet and they cleaned him up, now they're just waiting to see if they will have to amputate or if it will heal on its own. My grandma said last night Corky was jumping around on three legs, so he doesn't seem to be in too much pain. It could have been worse. Luckily for grandma, in England, there's a group kinda like the Humane Society, and they do all vet work for free for pensioners, so grandma doesn't have to pay. Corky was adopted by my uncle because he looked so sad at the shelter and I guess no one wanted him because he only had one eye. Poor little kitty. People make me sick

Answer:
omg that is horrible! Too bad you guys don't know who did it. The person dserves to be punished
Hope poor little Corky recovers well and gets to keep his paw

Answer:
Niki, poor Corky! That is disgusting. I too wish they could catch the buggar that did that to him. I hope Corky doesn't need his leg amputated and he recovers from this.

Answer:
I hope he recovers too....but if it needs to be amputated than I'm sure he'll manage on just three legs. Poor kitty. I'm just glad that my grandma doesn't have to pay for someone else's stupidity.

Answer:
That is so sad and infuriating!

Answer:
That's disgusting! How people can be so cruel I'll never be able to understand...poor wee Corky! I do hope he'll be alright and won't have to lose his leg. I saw a cat in the emergency clinic one time who had only three legs and she was speeding about the place with no worries. I'm sure if Corky does have to lose his leg he'll be okay.

Answer:
That's horrible! I hope Corky's all right!

Answer:
Poor Corky! I hope all goes well with his recovery. How did he get outside?

Answer:
He's an indoor/outdoor cat (not what I'd prefer). My grandma usually lets him out for a few hours a day. I think most of the time he just lounges about the garden. I'm not sure where he was when he was shot though. Grandma lives in a fairly quiet neighborhood that is mostly older, retired people and not a lot of traffic, so I guess she felt safe letting him out. It makes me so mad how cruel some people can be!! It makes me want to get on the next plane to England and hunt down the person who shot him!

Answer:
Any news on whether he can keep his leg?
