I have my chin in the bathroom...the weather here in Florida has just dropped majorly. I have a digital temp gauge in there for her. And the temp has gotten down to 69 degrees in there. How low is too cold for her?

The most comfortable temperature for a chin is between 65 and 70 degrees. Anything above 75 is not really safe, this can result in heat exhaustion and death. As far as too cold, I don't think that is something you need to worry about in Florida. I have read that they do ok in temperatures as low as 40.

I prefer to keep my chins around 68 degrees. You will definitely not have to worry about it getting too cold in Florida. One thing I am concerned about is the humidity in the bathroom though. Is the bathroom used to shower in? If so, you may want to consider a new place for the cage.

Just curious, how cold did it get (outside)?
My chins are anywhere between 55-73 degrees....this time of year the rooms is usually between 55-68. I keep the window open at least a little bit pretty much all year around, except recently...it got down to -30.

Chins can handle cold temperatures very well as they have an amazingly warm fur coat, lol. From the literature I have, the only two reasons is that ranchers don't let the temperature get below freezing is that the water supply freezes, of course, and that babies wouldn't survive the cold. It's 10-12 degrees Celsius in my chinchilla room now and they are all comfortable.
