Question:
Well, for the past few weeks now I've been shoving pills and oil down Bruce's throat twice a day and have been poking and prodding at his mouth periodically through the day to monitor his granuloma and it's gotten to the point that he cringes when he sees me coming, convinced that it's going to be something unpleasant. I'm trying to grab him and just give him a hug or a kiss so he doesn't totally associate me with unpleasantness, but still...
But he let me know without a doubt today that he forgives me for all my grabbing and poking and prodding. I was stretched on the sofa with a raging headache and along he came and, jumping up on my lap, settled down for a nice nap. Now, there is no greater honour than to have a cat sleep on you - it's one of the highest honours they can give you. And he's never napped on me before So I had a nap, as well, using Hamish, who was sleeping on the back of the sofa, as a pillow. Very cozy

AWWWW. I'm going through that with Donovan right now. 4 more days of pills...I don't think I'll make it! He HATES me, the glare! It takes like 20min solid hugs just to get the ears to come forward!

Lixx, have you ever tried one of those pill poppers? I got one from my vet ages ago and they are an absolute godsend for giving pills to cats. It honestly only takes a second and very rarely do they get the chance to spit it back out.
They really are good - if you haven't got one, you should ask your vet about one

Im so glad he forgave you.. they are both so adorable.. that picture is great!! yes I love the snuggles from kitties.. my kitty isnt much of a snuggler.. but they do seem to be more loveable when you arent feeling well.. Aspen does the pretty boy roll!! where he will roll back and forth and lay on his back for a few mins.. hehe too cute..
