I think it looks to thick to be chinchilla fur! However, it could be rabbit fur with the guard hairs removed (which would take a LONG time to do....)....
Although, I would say that it's not real fur at all. I don't know of any animal that has fur that thick and plush.
So if it is real fur, it's probably a recombined product and not "as it comes off the animal".
