shipping chins
Question: I was just wondering if anyone had experience with shipping chins by air and what everyones thoughts on this maybe.I've noticed somepeople do and some don't.. .....................Suzan Answer: I can't beleive noone has any opinions about this....I didn't think I ever wood ship but thought I'd look into other's experiences with shipping chins....I know plenty ust the chinny Railroad...Has anyone used this before?...............Suzan............. Answer: Suzan I don't think no one has an opinion, but I think most of the breeding folk on this board have not been here yet (remember the chin nationals were this weekend). Usually responses are slower on the weekends so give it a bit of time. Jigsaw was shipped to me from Alberta and everything was fine. I think when you ship you have to be aware of 1) weather conditions on both ends 2) the shipping time and airport layovers (ie where do they keep the animals while waiting to put them on the next plane, will it be warm enough, cool enough, etc.) and 3) airline protocol for handling animals (type of carrier you need, food policies, etc.) Answer: Yes, sorry susan, but I have never been on either end of shipping so I have no advice. I do not ship, as I do not have time to do the arrangements, plus I like to meet the people I sell to. Answer: Perfect that was exactly what I was wondering and I was not aware of the chin nationals this weekend....Thanks for the advice as I had someone inquire about my kits and they wondered what it would cost and if I would ship...I'm not sure that I have the time to ship because making arrangements to ship takes time....something I have very little of considering all my kids, furless or not, demand my attention....................I love though .wouldn't trade any of them in........................Suzan Answer: Not only that I would imagine that this could be very stressful on the chins? How was your chin when it arrived Sophie.?..............Suzan Answer: Jiggy was fine but her flight was only about 2 hours. I know Laurie sometimes ships form Victoria to Newfoundland so you might want to ask her how her chins handle it and how old they are when she does that. It usually helps when you ship more than one chin together. Answer: I ship chins all the time. I only ship within Canada, as I hate dealing with Air Canada, they cause more grief than it is worth shipping a chin. I live in Victoria, BC and have shipped clear across Canada to St. John's Newfoundland without any problems. I will only use Westjet though, since they are headache free. I have also had chins shipped to me, and the chins arrive just fine. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
