Question:
It was awesome! I met a lot of wonderful people: Steph, Chrisanne, Kim, and Tanya. Steph is super cute and wonderful to talk to. I got to meet Aston! He took a 1B and the judges said he had the the whitest coat in his class. He is a looker that is for sure. What a sweet chinnie too. Tanya and I chatted up a storm. What a great gal. I hope we can meet again. And Kim? Kim is a complete riot. I love her personality and she is a lot of fun. I am very happy I got to meet all of you girls. I also met up with Scott Barnes (the breeder I got Griffin from) and talked to Randy and Jeri Jagielo and Dave Woods. Wonderful people to know. I didn't end up getting the mosiac male from Becky. He was a nice looking chinnie but I told Becky I would rather wait. He wasn't the size I was looking for but a very clear coat. He had a wonderful personality too.
I will admit I spent more time talking to people than paying attention to the judging. There were many gorgeous animals and the violets were quite impressive this year. Jags did great as usual and Ralph Shoots got Reserve male and female and Grand Show Champion. This rancher just can't lose. After the show was over we had the opportunity to see the winners up close on the table. It is quite interesting to see the animals under the judging lights. Puts a new perspective on what a show winning chinchilla is.
All in all I had an incredible time and I am sure I will do it again next year.

I LOVE shows and I learn a ton listening to the remarks on the animals, so I hate to not watch, but then it's hard to talk to everyone. Of course, if you hadn't taken the scenic route to the show, you would have arrived earlier. :P

Oh my! Denise, you got lost?? Poor girl! That's why I am following Kindra to the York Show next month (I have a negative sense of direction!) I'm so glad that Aston did well for Steph! I'm going to see her tomorrow, so I'll be sure to congradulate her...actually, she told me to call her tonight, so...I'm going to go call Steph! I am sorry we did not get to chat more, Tanya and I on the other hand just got to know one another quite well!! She is a wonderful girl, and we had a great time! I ended up getting 9 animals, 2 from Becky, whom are everything I thought they would be, 1 from Toni, a little cutie pie :P One from Ann Ingram a little eb vc female, also adorable, and 5 from Dave woods!!

A wonderful (yet expensive ) weekend!!
