is it ok to feed my chinny? i saw an ad in the paper for somene selling a bale of mixed timothy hay and orchard grass for $3!!! and i wanted to get it of course i need to know if it's ok...

Yep, safe as long as it is good quality hay. I feed grass hay to my herd and they love it!

As long as it is not a really young chin. I had a problem with giving my 2 youngest chins local grass hay. It was too rich for them and gave them soft poos. Now that I have switched back to just timothy they are fine.
My other chins are fine with the local grass hay.
