I guess Jiggy got bored yesterday and decided it would be fun to play with the water bottle. She ended up taking a chunk out of it and sent water spilling EVERYWHERE in her cage. As if that wasn't enough, I think she realized she made a boo boo and actually threw dry sawdust on top of the wet one. Result: Mama didn't notice the flood until it was time for bed and she wondered how on earth Jiggy could have gulped a whole 10 ounces of water in just one day
Now I'm off to the pet store to get the little bugger a new bottle

OMG I am in love!!! The pet store had no glass bottles but they had some of the marchioro siwa ones so I got one of those. Candice was not lying when she said they were awesome!!!!
The bottle comes with a plastic holder that fastens it tight against the cage so no spilling or tilting. And the valve system avoids any drips! yay! I used a piece of galvanized wire as an extra security but all is holding in place VERY well. It took Jiggy a total of 2 seconds to figure out how it works and she loved it. The bottle is also designed to make it hard for teeth to chew it so I think it will last me a long time

I have one of those bottles too, and I find it to be fairly good. Buddy learned how to knock it off the cage the first night that I had it on though, and since the lid isn't very tight, all of the water leaked out, so we had to reinforce it with wire. Lately, I have had problems with water gushing out of the nozzle, but the guy at the pet store suggested that I remove the nozzle and flush it with water a bunch of times while pressing the valve, and I *knock on wood* haven't had any problems since.
All that said, it has never dripped...

My chins have never even bothered to sniff the bottles, let alone chew them or knock them off. I'm glad that you like the new bottle...what color did you get?

They only had pink so that's what I got. I was hoping for blue or green but oh well Maybe I'll get another one for Calli later and it will be blue (do they even make them in blue?)
