Building another cage...

Question:
Hi all,
I was hoping for some feedback and ideas on my next cage. It will be very similar to the boys' cage (found here) but a foot taller. Can anyone suggest improvements or additions that I can make to the cage before I start building?

Answer:
I really have a thing for tubes. Have you thought about connecting levels that way? The old cage looks pretty cool though.

Answer:
Candy I love the first one... Im trying to think of something that you can do to make improvements and just cant think of any...
well 1... where the water bottle is you can see it leaking on the melamine... maybe you could put a strip of melamine along the front of that to cover it?!!?
do you remember the cage we built for Will and Grace?? it was a 2 level but it only opened with the door on the first level.. and the top level we have a pitched roof .. makes it look more like a house.. and one side of the roof opens for the top.. maybe if you make it taller than the first one.. you could make a 3rd level to be just the sleeping area... like a sleeping box type of area.. in the pitch.. IF that would be an idea for you... I might still have pictures somewhere if you want me to repost them..

Answer:
Kreenish! How have you been? Thanks for the suggestion!
Pam, the water spilt is my own fault actually. I didn't fasten the nozzle properly after cleaning the bottle and it leaked for awhile until I noticed it.
I think a pitched roof would be difficult to do with the melamine. I do remember your cage and it's so cool! The boys have a sleeping box in their cage in the upper left corner now...I will probably do the same with the girls. Although, Diego and Santos usually just cuddle in the hammock now.

Answer:
Candice, I am so jealous you have such energy to build another cage. That is great! I think the first cage you built is perfect and I can't think of anything else you could do with the new cage that the first cage doesn't have.

Answer:
Hi Candice!
I'm doing well, and finally back online. I've missed all this. I still like the original cage you show. Of course, I ALWAYS like bigger...at least in chinchilla cages and chocolate bars!
