My Sewing Project
Question: After seeing the cute cat tent that michelle made, I looked up the pattern and decided to try making the "fish tent". The most I've ever sewed was a stupid little teddy bear in home ec in grade 7, so this was a bit of a challenge. Half way through I was sure it would look like crap, but I think it turned out alright I'm still waiting for the glue on the eyes to dry, so no pics of the cats in it yet, but here's how it looks. Answer: That is so so cute, I wish I could sew. My ferrets would LOVE something like that. Answer: Wow, I am impressed, it turned out wonderfully!! Christy, I didn't know you had ferrets....? Answer: That looks great! Answer: It looks awesome! It's hard for me to tell how big it is tho, based on that picture.... Could two cats fit in there? (just thinking about my cats... they're indoor and thus significantly larger than, say, the barn cats at the farm where the rabbits stay) Answer: wow! That's one nice fish tent! Answer: that is like.. way super cool!!!!!!! where did you find the pattern for that???? Im not much of a sewer either.. but I do have a sewing machine that is just getting dusty.. I should use it.. and that would be a good one to use it on!!! lol Answer: Wow that's not bad at all... I was going to try it but it looks hard. I might attempt the little house next. The downside with my cats is they don't care how much work I put into something.. sometimes they like to use the tent I made, and other times they are content to sleep in a plastic bag. Answer: pamm013, I found the pattern at Walmart. It's Simplicity 9004. At our local Walmart they had a huge drawer full of Simplicity patterns. Right now Artemis is curled up inside. I think it's only big enough for one cat, but if they were small or babies then 2 or more. Answer: Here's the pattern envelope, if anyone's interested. You can sort of make out the size of the fish from that photo. I can fit two cats in the tent, but my cats are just little. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
