emails with virus' attached

Question:
Hi Everyone
I've received a lot of emails over these last few weeks that have contained the word "chin" or "chins" as part of the sender's address. Unfortunately, they all contained or had a virus attached to them and my virus alert programme stopped them going through. It just sent me a notification that a virus had been detected and been returned to the sender. Apologies to all who have tried to contact me.

Answer:
I have also received a few from various owners and breeders. Usually, it's a worm virus and the sender is unaware that emails are being sent.

Answer:
Yep, it's happening from my account too. I've even emailed some friends who I got attachments from and they say they haven't sent anything..
How do you get rid of these things?? Can you even eliminate them from an internet mail account? Norton doesnt' seem to be able to catch them.

Answer:
In your address book type aaaaaa@aaaaaaa.aaa as the first contact in your book. Itr sends through your address book, so if you do that and it doesn't ork (which ir won't) then it will stop sending to all of your friends and contacts. This helps stop it. Pass it on.

Answer:
Ok I thought I was just going crazy. I've also been receiving scores of emails from breeders or people with the word 'chin' or 'chinchilla' in the address or subject. They all have viruses :\
Does anyone know a good free anti virus checker to use? I had norton for a while, but it was only a trial and has since expired. I'm using AVG but i don't think that's doing anything at all.

Answer:
Fo you ever update AVG? I have it, and I had a worm (Netsky.C) and it didn't find it, but then i updated my virus checker and it found it.
