Hey everyone! If you or anyone you know in the GTA area of Ontario can foster (or better, adopt) one of these cats, it would be wonderful. They are losing their home because the building where they were being kept has been sold, and there aren't enough foster homes for all of them. The organization is Abbey Cat Adoptions, which is where we got Tonks, Snuffy, and Winky from. Because homes are desperately needed, there is no adoption fee. Please consider fostering. I would if I could, but any more cats is more than I can financially handle right now.

Nikki, I'd love to foster some cats but my bf thinks it's a bad idea How is the situation right now? Are you getting any responses for foster homes?
I'm going to keep asking him and maybe he will break down and let me take in one or two

I so wish that I was closer I would gladly take Emma Lee . The look in her eyes just got me right in the heart ...she also looks exactly like my sweet little Boots that died a few years back at the age of 21 years.

I haven't heard from anyone. I'm hoping they find homes before they lose their shelter, otherwise I think they're going to be turned back outside. Which isn't much better than euthanization. Unfortunately, it seems like people would rather take in kittens or more social adult cats, and not these "special" cats that may have issues. They're not mean or anything, just really scared. I wish I could help, but I can't. (right now there's a stray in our bathroom that the SPCA is coming to pick up tomorrow). clearjade, it would be great if you could help Even if you could just spread the word to people you know who might be interested, that would be great! And like I said, if you CAN foster one or two and need them picked up, I'm there for you

I hope they find homes too! The girl that set up my adoptions, Tamara, is soo nice! She has 2 kids under 5 years old, and she still finds time to find these cats homes.
Time is running out and I hate thinking that these little sweeties will be turned out to fend for themselves.

Nikki... Why would they let them go outside? Couldn't an arrangement be made with area Humane Societies to find homes for them? It seems a shame to release them again after all the work that has gone into making them suitable for adoption... or has this been tried already?
