My surprise arrival!!!
Question: Some of you know that I have adopted Lisa's Freddy and Ginger. Well...much to my surprise this morning about 7 am, Ginger was acting rather strange. Making funny grinding noises and little chirps. I checked on her and she came to see me and ate a tiny piece of wheat square. Then she went back down to the bottom of the cage and I thought she was really acting funny. I continues watching her for a while. Freddy seemed very concerned and seemed to be bothering her so I took him out and was holding him. While I had Freddy in my hands, Ginger gave birth to a little mosaic v/c kit at about 7:30-7:45 am. I put Freddy in the pet carrier and continued to watch Ginger clean up her new baby. What an exciting moment!!! I'm pretty sure it is a little girl and weighs 49 grams. What a sweet little thing. She looks very much like the baby pics of Kodiak only I think a little paler. Ginger is such a good mommy! This has really brought such a wonderful joy into such a sad time in my life. What a little blessing I'll take pics as soon as I can. Answer: Congrats Pam! Did you know she was pregnant? Can't wait to see pictures! Answer: Lisa said Ginger might be but we didn't know if or when! Here she? is Answer: Another Answer: You may notice that she has a little dried blood on her. Ginger had cleared away all the shavings and the little one walked under her mom when she was eating the afterbirth and got some blood on her...yuck! Answer: One more Answer: Oh , I was going to say that's an interesting pinkish colour on her back! S/he is adorable! Answer: Aww, she's so cute.
