declawed but not neutered...?
Question: Here's a strange one... We got a stray cat today at the shelter -- he's declawed on all four paws but he doesn't appear to be neutered! I gave him a good "squeeze" and it feels like he's got testicles! But he's absolutely declawed -- I saw his declaw scars with my own eyes! Why on earth would someone declaw their cat, but not neuter him? He's not a purebred anything, that's for sure! Weird! Answer: That is weird Nothing surprises me anymore though... Answer: Poor guy, all 4 paws? to the kitty. Answer: Is declawing a bad thing if you're not going to let them outside?? I was thinking of getting my cats declawed, just the front paws. But I heard that it hurts them, if it does then I don't want to. Answer: http://community-2.webtv.net/stopdeclaw/declawpics/ WARNING, the above link contains graphic pictures of the Declawing process. Declawing is not cat friendly, any which way you look at it. If you love your kitties, don't declaw. Answer: That's just like cutting their fingers off!!!!!!!!!! That is sooo mean... don't get your kitty declawed, just trim his nails or something. Just out of curiosity, what is the point of declawing. You obviously can't let your cat out if they're declawed, and what're they gonna do inside? Scratch the couch? If you're so worried about it, don't get a cat... I hate people sometimes!!!!!!!!!! Answer: You obviously can't let your cat out if they're declawed, and what're they gonna do inside? Ideally, cats should be kept inside for their safety... cats these days aren't safe being allowed outdoors unless they are on a harness & accompanied by their owner. There are tons of things inside that your cat can do.. you just need to make time for them and get inventive... there are quite a few interactive toys on the market that you can play with them.. plus playing with your cat makes your bond stronger... Answer: Plus walking on a leash is perfectly feasible. My downstairs neighbour has followed my "lead" & is also walking her cat on a leash now!!! Answer: Not enough people do this... whenever I see a cat out for a walk it puts a huge smile on my face ... b/c I know that is one less injured/dead cat I'll see at the shelter!
