Question:
Here are my precious girls.

The story of Hazel goes back quite a ways. I met a wonderful woman on CnQ named, Jen. She had four chins, Hazel, Chester (Hazel's mate), Joey and Phoebe. She had them paired for what seemed like ages with no results. Jen was going on vacation and, suspecting that Hazel was finally pregnant, she decided to ship them off to my place for chin-sitting in case she was pregnant and needed an experienced owner to handle things. Hazel was in fact pregnant and April 13, 2002, she gave birth to two little girls. So, Hazel went back to Jen when she got back. Jen's husband (then fiance) was working overseas and they made the decision that Jen would go over there and they would start a life there. Because of the strict quarantine laws, Jen decided to re-home her chins. Lisa (Cinnamon) from here decided to take Chester, Phoebe and Joey, and after a lot of contemplation, I took Hazel.

Hazel came home, got settled in, and proceeding to gain a ton of weight. She was pregnant. So, on October 4, 2002, Hazel delivered two more standard girls. I named them Zoya and Anya and they were to become Hazel's permanent cagemates.

Unfortunately, I lost Anya this summer as a result of an intestinal blockage.

But here are my two precious girlies, Hazel (beige) and Zoya (standard).

Hazel does not like being woken up.

Zoya is pretty indifferent. She's happy as long as she's fed.

I'm sure that Zoya's gained weight. I need new batteries in my scale but just holding her and looking at her, I can tell. You usually can't see her feet when she lays down now.

Yep, she just keeps growing. Actually, I think now that Anya (bless her soul) is not pushing her out of the way, she is getting even more food.
