Question:
I'm just heart broken right now...we lost another 3 kits yesterday...Bringing our loss total to 5, all being kits. The first was the 76g baby in May. The second being the bv v/c kit 2 weeks ago...and now these 3 last night.
I went into the chin room at 4:00, checked everyone, filled a few bottles...the usual. Tumor was fine, just sleeping cuddled with Cancer as usual. I left to go do some running and went to start my nightly routine at around 9:30 and somewhere between those times Tumor had given birth to 3 kits (2 standards, 1 Mosaic). I'm assuming she had a bit of trouble with the mosaic because it was a mutilated. I can't say for sure if they were still born or not, but it appears to be so. The 2 standards were cleaned and dry though, so I don't know. I'm just sick over this.
I can't think of anything we've changed for quite some time. We haven't re-arranged, haven't changed feeds, same water source...We keep the chin room at 67* and we feed Mazuri and loose hay along with occasional hay cubes...No new toys...I just can't figure it out...I almost hope it's just a string of bad luck and not some underlying problem...Everyone seems chipper and happy...arg...

thanks everyone! my sister and I went out and splurged on sundaes last night....
I'm looking at the better side, and at least my girls are ok. The Violet mom is going to stay here as Pet only now...The other two girls I'm giving a nice long break...and I'm waiting to put any other pairs together till we figure out what is going on, if anything. I'm hoping it's just a string of bad luck...I truly am!

Tanya I'm really sorry to hear about this string of tragedies. I think if it were something serious (like an illness or something like that) the adults would be affected too. The Jags will probably have a good take on it for you.
