What is with people?

Question:
UGH!! I had another one of those e-mails, where a person "offers" me an amount they are willing to pay for a chin, says they will take the chin (without me letting them know whether or not they can have it), and then makes it sound like they are doing me a favor because they don't think I can find the chin a home.
I am talking about Artemis' tan white boy that was born last week. The woman tells ME that she will take him for a small amount to be assured that he gets placed in a home I let her know that he is not a rescue by any means, and that I am the one to approve the homes for my chins. Since he was born, I have had about 50 e-mails about him, yet not one of them suitable for my baby.

Answer:
I know what you mean, I've had a few like that

Answer:
wow... some people just dont stop to think do they...

Answer:
well because most breeders are in for money, so the not used to breeders who actually care for their babies and are looking for a good home not just any home

Answer:
It can be so frustrating....I have gotten similiar emails and the ones that kill me are the ones where they are going to take one of MY chinchillas (clearly defined on my website which chins are for sale and which ones are mine) off my hands.

Answer:
Yeah I get them all the time too, it's very frustrating. Or you get the people that come over and go from cage to cage saying "How much is this one?" and "How much is this one?". I have to wonder are they here to chose a Chin they really like or just here to get the cheapest one they can. Most of the time they're asking about my breeders, which are NOT FOR SALE, but they ask anyway.

Excuse me Brandy, I realize you don't mean every breeder is in it for the money, but the majority ARE NOT. A breeder understands that it takes alot of time, patience and money to care for these animals. They also realize that they can't possibly sell a chin if its been ignored and it is neglected. So therefore, they couldn't possibly make any money if they aren't possibly caring for their chins and loving them. I am a reputable breeder and I did not start to make more money, it was because I love my chinchillas and I have the money and the space and time already to care for more. Money is just a perk for breeders, it is not why they breed.

Answer:
notice the "most"
alto i think theres alot more poor breeders out there then good breeders...

Answer:
Well you must have met some very poor breeder in NB, Because everyone in Alberta that I have met, since there are few breeders here, all have been very knowledgeable, loving and caring towards their chins and there customers.
So besides myself, I already know four others that are great in Alberta and one in PEI.

Answer:
This was not meant to be an argument thread. Brandy was only trying to explain why some people act the way they do, not looking to start a debate on whether all breeders are good or bad. You may disagree with her but there is not need to belittle her for it
