So Cats dont like baths huh LOL
Question: Gave Preciouse her first bath today, Boy oh boy was that an adventure lol. I think I had to carry her out of the bathroom cabinet a million times, got to mop the floor from all the water. i thought giving a dog a bath was hard who knew something as small as a cat would be harder lol. Im not one thats pro declawing a cat (under most circumstances) but WAS I ever glad she was lol. Towel dried her and put her back in the room with the heat on (the rest of the heat's still off in the house). I was going to take pics but I didnt manage to get time but I got a few of her wrapped in a towel afterwards ill post later. She was giving me the I cant belive your doing this to me stare lol. Answer: LOL! I can picture your struggle! So funny! Our Mouse LIKES baths, though. She'll even jump in the tub with you if she can. She will not get into the shower, but she'll stand on the corner of the tub. The most iritating thing is she always wants to help do laundry and wash dishes- she hears water running- she wants to get in it. Actually, she's like that about most things. Everything is about Mouse, according to Mouse. You are very lucky to be unshredded, if precious hated it THAT much! Answer: Jenna, I thought you were talking about a mouse until I remembered seeing the picture of your cat "Mouse".. I had a great imagine of a mouse doing laps in the bath tub! Christy, bathing a cat takes practice.. that's for sure! I've never had to bathe my own cats.. they are extremely clean kitties.. but I have bathed many, many cats @ work.. they also don't like the blowdryer! (but by the time I get to that part they're in a cage).. Fun isn't it?? I use cat bathing as a test for high school co-op students working at the shelter.. if they can bathe a cat without getting any major injuries, they pass! (I know, I'm sadistic!) Answer: Jen, I think the only rason I was unshredded was the fact that she has no front claws and that I was wearing a heavy sweater (was freezing this am). Mouse sounds like a character thats for sure, I had a rabbit like that years ago Fluffy LOVED water, would hop into the kids swimming pool, the mop water, the tub anything to play in water. Sue, I take my hat off to ANYONE that baths more than one cat in there lifetime. I sure hope I dont have to do that with her again lol. Is it usually that you dont have to bath a cat most of the time? I didnt even attempt the blow dryer on her figured I couldnt handle it the bath was an ordeal in of itself for me lol. Answer: The only time that we've washed our cats was when they caught fleas and needed a flea bath. (stupid cat at tim's parents house wasn't on advantage like tim's mom said she was, brough fleas into the house... they were covering the carpet there were so many! our cats are indoor cats and never would have caught them otherwise). We don't bathe our cats, otherwise, as they stay fairly clean. Answer: Mouse, being white- and into everything- MUST have regular baths- or else she would be a multicolored-cat. Just this week, she spilled a glass of strawberry soda (her and the puppy, If truth be told) and decided to LAY with her tail in it. She's a messy creature! LOL! Most cats would keep away from anything wet- so there is a downside to cats not minding water, too... Mouse- (evil incarnate) Answer: I'll say it again, Jenna, if you ever need to find Mouse a home, I'll gladly take her She's got just the kind of spunk that I like in a cat Answer: I had a great imagine of a mouse doing laps in the bath tub! hahahaha Su.. your funny!!! lol Christy that would be a chore and a half!!!!! I tried to give Aspen some medicine when we first got him for worms... and I had him all wrapped up with paws tucked in and that was way hard so I could imagine trying to bathe a cat with out restraints.. hehehehe that would have been a sight to see.. lol Answer: We have bathed our cats since they were kittens and they don't mind too much. They will sometimes meow but usually they just stand there are allow us to bath them. Most cats don't need to be bathed. Our cats are quite clean but we both have problems with too much dander. Given that the cats sleep with us, a bath every few months seems to help the problem. Answer: Originally Posted by jennawing LOL! I can picture your struggle! So funny! Our Mouse LIKES baths, though.
