Good Kitty Dental Health
Question: So I'm hell-bent on making sure Oliver grows up big and strong and that means healthy teeth. I'm all for brushing his little teeth 2 or 3 times a week but here's my question...when should I start? He's 8 weeks now, is that too young? Thanks in advance! Answer: It's best to start them young. You could start w/ a rubber finger toothbrush for cats & special cat-only toothpaste (mine always liked the malt flavour ). Answer: It is good to start them young... but since he's going to lose all those baby teeth anyway.. you don't really need to put tootpaste on the brush until he gets his permenant teeth. It'll get him used to the feel of the toothbrush though... Answer: I bought the little kitty toothbrush finger things a while back and I do need to find a good flavor toothpaste... So I guess I'll start with the toothbrush and not worry that I don't have yummy toothpaste anyway. Thanks you, ladies. Answer: My cats love the toothpaste! I gave it to them when they were young to make the brushing more enjoyable. Answer: What brand/flavor of toothpaste do your cats enjoy? Mine are using C.E.T poultry flavor.. it's for dogs & cats.. The tube is almost finished and I have a sample tube of iM3 Enzadent.. also poultry flavor... Anyone ever used this brand? Answer: I also use C.E.T. for the cats. My dog, Tax, gets Oxyfresh gel. There was another kind that my vet gave me (Petrodent) I think...and the cats liked that too. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
