And he wanted to know if M.D.F. wood would be safe enough to use?
I figured that as long as it wasn't Cedar, there shouldn't be a problem, but Tim is smart and wants to know FOR SURE that M.D.F. isn't going to cause any problems to our new baby when he comes.
M.D.F. is readily available to him at work, and we would prefer if he could just use the scraps left over instead of having to go and find other wood.

I wouldn't recommend mdf
They use commercial glues o hold mdf particles together and they would definitely be toxic to a chewing chinnie. Solid pine would be much better.

yeah I cant think it would be very good, pluse a few chews and its going to splinter apart. I'd say nope on the MDF.

Oh and just another point that stuff gets wet it holds the moisture in and molds and stinks to high heaven.
