What is your routine with your chinnies?

Question:
I was wondering if any of you have a routine with your chinnies and if so, what is it? Here is mine:
Before I go to work I get the dustbuster out and vacuum all the chinnie poop that fell on the floor during the night, clean all the shelves in the cages, make sure everyone has enough food and most importantly make sure all the chinnies are okay. I usually have a few extra minutes to spare for some huggles and petting.
When I come home from work, I check on the chinnies, make sure everyone is okay and that they have enough food. Then, I vacuum their entire room.
I have the same routine on the weekends except I don't clean the chinnie room at 5:20 am.
Water bottles are cleaned every other day. Food bowls are always cleaned when I replace food. The herb pots I now use for hay are washed with very hot water and left to dry.
I change bedding every two weeks (thanks to Cell-Sorb).
Playtimes usually occurr in 'shifts' because I have so many chinnies. Everyone gets handled everyday though.

Answer:
OMG, I didn't even notice that! I need to change that to chinnie poop!
Now, will you answer the darn question?!

Answer:
OMG, I am laughing so hard I need to use the bathroom before I pee myself.

Answer:
Sorry that was just too funny to not comment on! The mental image was quite amusing
OK OK now for my answer...
I get up around 6:30 and go say hi to the girls. Jiggy gets a piece of dried apple ring and Calypso likes to hop out and perch on my arm to munch on a raisin. I usually play with them for about 15-20 minutes then go off and do my thing.
When I get back from work the girls get some more hugs and cuddles (no treats though) and they go back off to sleep. Later in the evening is when they wake up and start bouncing around. That's when I usually change the food in their bowls and give them a hand full of fresh hay. I also do a quick cleaning around their cage and pick up asmuch old hay as I can from the bottom of the cage.
The girls still don't share a cage so I play with them one by one. I don't take them out every night but when I do it's around 9 or 10 usually.
I clean the cages from top to bottom once a week and give them fresh water every 2 or 3 days.

Answer:
I'm still laughing
When I get up I observe the boys for a while to see if they are ok, and if they're not sleeping to hard I'll pet them a bit.
I try to leave them alone in the afternoon, but sometimes it's just not possible
Most evenings I let them out sometimes between 9 and 10 for playtime, and when that is over I refill their water, pellets and hay.
I change their bedding and clean out the cage properly every other week, but their toilets need to be changed every three days or so.

Answer:
Lisa, I am still laughing too! Please don't tell my chinnies I said that! They would freak!
I completely forgot to mention treats! Every evening the chinnies get a small treat. I rotate between: Weetabix and organic dried fruit.

Now I have had my good laugh for the day.
Ok, i will answer the question:
In the mornings before work, I go downstairs and first say hi to everyone they each get 1/2 tablet of vit C. I always start at one cage and work my way around the room....cleaning out food dishes and filling them up, and giving hay. Ofcourse I always have time for kisses and hugs if wanted. I usually do this b/w 4-430....they are the first ones I see in the morning (its a great way to start the day).
When I get home, I go down to say hi to them all and check on them. after dinner time its chinnie time. Each pair gets 30 mins in the playpen...lately i have been weighing them before playtime. at the beginning of playtime, they get one treat and their dust bath. I usually will clean out food dishes, fill them up and give hay. I also clean out hay on the floors ect. I always make sure I get atleast 20 mins in the playpen with each couple. gives us time to snuggle and kiss and for me to pick up all their poos
I collect all the water bottles and give fresh water every night. I try to rotate the schedule of who plays when.....who ever is the most hyper usually gets out first
After everyone is back in their cages, I make one more round giving kisses good night.
I clean the cages about 2x a week especially for my boys who drink and pee SO much! I vacuum and really clean up once a week....luckily we don't get many visitors during the week days
my schedule is very set in stone....I haven't changed it at all in the last couple of months. if i miss playtime one night, I am in big trouble.
on the weekends, I take the kids out in the morning and just spend time snuggling and playing. I also still have their playtimes at night....and i check on them more often during the day

Answer:
Oh, yeah... my boys get a treat after playtime (or when I fill up their food if they didn't get playtime). I alternate between raisins and carob.
