Well I got my new pair of chinchillas yesterday. The black velvet male is a past kit of mine I sold and bought back because the owners didn't have enough time for him anymore, and the homo beige female is his mate that was purchased from a breeder in edmonton. I name the female Mika (pronounced meeka) and the male peko a.k.a orange peko tea (pronounced peeco). I am just in love with the homo beige (mika's) coloring, and she also has light paw stripes on her paws.

thanks everyone! The two are settling in just fine now that they are back to there normal habits, which would include peko being a little nippy. I am pretty sure that mika is pregnant, she has gained another 4 grams since she has been with me although that could have to do with the move and new food as well. I am hoping for some cute kits from her within the next month or so.
