Question:
He made it through the night. He looks terrible, his one eye is mostly closed with an infection, and the other isnt much better... his little nose is so sore and tender its slightly bleeding from all the sneezing.
He was scruffy to start with, but now its just heartbreaking to look at him, but i am giving a syringe of water and kmr every few hours, meds twice a day, and some steaming a couple times a day too... this morning i held him in the steamy bathroom and he just purred thru his congestion and was kneading on my arm..
does anyone have any other suggestions to help this little guy out? I have tried about six different canned foods heated and different ways of getting him to eat, but other than syringe he wont take it...

It sounds like you're doing as much as you can.. What kind of medication was prescribed? As long as he's getting nurishment even if its by syringe, it will keep his strength up..

He's taking chlor-palm or something like that. He started on doxy, but it didnt seem to work, so she switched him to this. I talked to one of the workers there today who gave me some tips on amounts and how often to feed, and we were told power-ade diluted with a little water would be good, and it seems to have perked him up a bit.

I used to have a co-worker that swore by giving sugar water to little ones that were fading.. I haven't tried it but my friend did and it worked..
