Poor Bruce - eye boo-boos and granuloma
Question: Poor Bruce seems to have everything go wrong with him. Early last week I noticed he had an "eye boo boo". Not an infection, but he may've scratched the eyeball or third eyelid again as he had the eye nearly closed (out of my four cats, he's the only one who has eye problems -- just a few weeks ago I had to rush him to the vet cos his eye looked terrible). Four days of eye ointment and it was all cleared up. But now last night his bottom lip was a bit swollen again I'm wondering now why after seven months of being off the antihistamines and being symptom-free, his granuloma suddenly flares up again? In any event, he's back on antihistamine tablets and I'm keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse. Poor Bruce! Answer: Oh no! Brucey was doing so well! I hope that the flare-up is just a one time occurance and it goes away quickly. Answer: I sure hope it's a one-time thing too, Candice. I remember the state of his mouth last year and shudder. I don't want us to have to go through that again. It's not too bad, though - just a small bit of swelling and hopefully with him being back on the antihistamines, it won't progress to the horrible state his mouth was in last year. The last time he flared - just after I'd taken him off the antihistamines - just a week back on the antihistamines took care of things and he was fine until now. Poor little guy! Luckily he doesn't mind the pills so much - I have one of those pill plunger things and pilling him is a breeze. Answer: Bridget, aww poor little Bruce! That is very odd! I sure hope his flareup ends quickly. That is good you have no problem administering his meds. Answer: You are so lucky that you can pill Brucey so easily. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to pill Sydney. I hope this is just a little bump in the road and he's back to normal soon. Answer: Oh Bruce, that's too bad. It doesn't sound scary though and that's always awesome. Please keep us updated on his progress. (I know photos make me feel better. *hint*hint*) Answer: Aw best wishes to your beautiful boy. I sure hope he has a speedy full recovery! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
