looking at my two beige chins, still new to the beige thing. can you tell the difference between a homo and a hetero beige by their ears? does one have spots and the other doesnt? i noticed nemo has no spots on his ears and loki has alot

I have both homo and hetero, and I can tell them apart by their color, because they are so different-but my hetero does have lots of spots on his ears also. I've never heard of a homo beige having spots.

None of my beiges have freckles on their ears. Homo beige are usually very light beige, whereas hetero are darker beige (beige and grey "mix")

Just b/c nemo has no spots doesn't mean he is not a hetero beige....spots on our hetero beige came when he was much older and he still only has very faint ones. The best way to tell the two beiges apart is their eyes...a homo beige has more pink eyes and has a white band around the iris. generally homo beiges fur is lighter also.

My hetero beige doesn't have freckles either. I find that homo beiges are much lighter and more of a champagne color. Hetero beiges are darker and more of a greyish shade...that is what I have observed anyway.
