Umbra had her kits two days ago! It was a bit of a surprise, as I thought she still had at least two weeks to go. At least I had the three "bumps" guess right. Yep, three little sweethearts. I hadn't taken Wingnut out of the cage yet, so breedback is a bit of a worry. He was most perturbed to be taken out as soon as I saw the little ones. All three kits were clean and dry by the time I saw them.

Thanks, everyone. Sophie, you can come for a visit anytime. As to colouring, my best guess at this point is one male hetero beige, one male hetero eb., and the female is probably an ebony carrier. Her colouring has been changing even over the last few days, so we will see. Last night we took the kits out on the bed without Umbra, and then let Wingnut in the room with them. He was quite excited, and felt the immediate need to start grooming them. His happy squeaks were very sweet. He did seem a bit, ah, uncomfortable though when one of the pipsqueaks started looking for a nipple!
